How You Can Help
Thank you for your interest in Downtown Ministries. There are a great many ways in which you can help! In order of need, we greatly appreciate your donations of:
- FUNDS to operate our programs.
- Unexpired and unopened food and toiletries.
- Vehicles, land, and buildings.
- Furniture, appliances, and housewares.
- Linens, pillows, and towel sets.
- Children’s books, toys, school supplies, and backpacks.
- Clothing for people of all ages and disposable diapers for infants.
- Over-the-counter medicines and hygiene products.
Monetary donations may be sent to us via Paypal or by regular mail. Remember, your donations are tax-deductible!
You can donate right now - safely! - with your credit card via Paypal. PayPal members have the option of paying via credit card or verified bank accounts they have on file. They can also set up regular recurring montly donations, if they wish. The PayPal button will take you to a secure webpage on the PayPal site, where you can enter your donation amount and other information:

If you wish, you may dedicate your donation in honor or memory of anyone you choose. Additionally, you are encouraged to enclose a short, personal message of encouragement to those who will be benefitting from your loving gift. Please sign your message using first names only, please.
If you live in the Sacramento area, our ministry truck can come pick up your large furniture, appliance, and bulk donations! To schedule a pickup, call Director Deanna Jones at 916.631.4357.
You are also very welcome to drop off donations at our offices in Rancho Cordova! Help us save pick-up costs and speed delivery of your gifts to those who need them most by bringing them to 11333 Sunco Drive, Suite 102. Please remember NOT to leave your donations by the office door; please call Director Deanna Jones at 916.631.4357 to schedule your drop-off visit.
Donations are subject to discretion in use or sale. The homeless have priority. Overflow sales will provide more shelter, food, and services to those in need.
