homeless for the holidays
Where I can help the homeless in Chicago, Illinois, area for Christmas or at any other time?

I like to do something for those people Homeless season. Well, there should be a holiday at any time, would be great. What areas near Chicago or suburbs would be common Homeless? There were some people who helped small objects into the weekend at local Metra station. But I live in a residential area, so that the municipality arrested before the homeless hang out there? I do not know where they went. Offer needed items directly to them from the hands, while recognized as individuals, instead of donating the items to a Salvation Army or Catholic charity in a superficial way.

Because some very wealthy sham beggars lose home, homeless or back and buy some alcohol or drugs, I do not care about the money directly to them. The only time I've been when the temperature. fell below zero in Minneapolis and treat this guy sleeping on a stone bench. I gave $ 20 and told him to go find a warm place to sleep. Have died of cold. Contact the American Red Cross to help provide ideas. You can go to a homeless shelter and help serve food, joy to someone, hear their stories, give hope and tell that you care and pray with them, help with personal hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine products, etc) away. They know what need, because people come for help. There are certainly areas of homelessness in South Michigan Avenue, but I would not go there unless you want to expand. As a reflection Finally, there are many people in your neighborhood who need them. Housing is very expensive in Chicagoland. People can choose between rent or mortgage, medicines and food. Without mentioning any decent Christmas. People near collapse of the economy as it is, losing a job or work of prevention of disease or high credit balances can force people to leave. You might consider volunteering for a program of free credit counseling throughout the year, conservation program or contributing to local food.

Eddie Murphy made an auspicious film debut alongside veteran Nick Nolte’s consummate performance as a worn cop. Murphy plays a convict on a two-day furlough from prison …
