Who We Are
Downtown Ministries and Family Haven are part of a non-profit, 501 C 3 corporation which provides a housing program and services for homeless and needy families. We believe in the inspiration of the Word of God and salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. We offer our services in the name of Christ, and tender them to all people regardless of national origin, creed, age, sex, or handicap.
We are a ministry of individual volunteers and donors, community groups, churches, and businesses dedicated to helping the homeless rebuild their lives. God has blessed Downtown Ministries and its Family Haven Program with great staff members - people who are willing to do everything from maintenance to ministry! We all pitch in when needed to do pick-ups, drop-offs, sorting, warehousing, cleanups, remodelling, move-ins, prep and assitance with meetings and distributions, fundraising, and office work.

Our Directors
Our executive director is Pastor Haskle Jones and our director is his wife of 42 years, Deanna Jones. Pastor Jones earned his B.S. from Western Baptist Bible College and attended the San Francisco Theological Seminary. Deanna completed her Master’s Degree in Education at Sacramento State University. After pastoring and teaching in Christian schools, God led them into the rescue ministry in the latter half of the 1980s. Downtown Ministries has expanded to accommodate housing the homeless and also hopes to establish an education program in the future, designed specifically for homeless and poor children.
